Villa Street Yeronga

The Villa Street, Yeronga site has been identified as a key urban renewal opportunity under the state government’s Advancing our cities and regions (AOCR) strategy. This strategy provides an innovative approach to renewal and repurposing surplus and underutilised state land to deliver better community outcomes, create jobs and drive economic growth.

The site on the corner of Villa Street and Park Road, Yeronga is regarded as surplus to government requirements and has been unoccupied since the former TAFE ceased operation in 2010.

The Queensland Government, through its specialist land use planning and property development unit Economic Development Queensland (EDQ), is seeking the local community’s involvement to inform the possible future revitalisation of the site.

We held four community information sessions at Yeronga State High School from Thursday 31 August - Thursday 14 September, if you were unable to attend, but still want to have your say visit our Brainstormer tool. You can provide suggestions of what community facilities you would like to see on the site. You can also vote on ideas that have already been submitted by others. The brainstormer tool will remain open until the end of September.
