Rockhampton CBD

Economic Development Queensland is working in partnership with the Rockhampton Regional Council to renew the city's historic central business district (CBD), to attract and stimulate ongoing employment and economic activity in the precinct.

A vacant parcel of land located in William Street will be transformed into a vibrant mixed-use residential, retail and commercial development designed to complement the heritage buildings and areas, and market lanes.

The revitalisation of Rockhampton's CBD is a priority project under the Queensland Government's Advancing our cities and regions strategy and is a catalyst project in the Rockhampton CBD Redevelopment Framework.

Sustainable concept designs have been developed for the William Street precinct illustrating residential, commercial and retail spaces as well as green wall streetscaping – creating an area for residents to live, work and play.
